2008 Bruno Giacosa Roero Arneis
| CO CHRIS. The first non-Dante vino I’ve consumed, sort of bitter-sweet, love to see the 08 out…the nose is flowery, peaches, pears, minerality, Albarino-like, reminiscent…viscous, sweet fruit, long, more lush than I expect form Arneis, perhaps vintage is coming through. Might buy another 2-3 for the rest of the summer sipping season. Personally I like them more high-acid, as the 07 seemed immediately upon release. Is this vintage, or is the new vinomaker at Giacosa causing this shtuff? I hope the former. - Tasted 7/3/2009. |
